Bromsash is a small hamlet about five miles west of Newent, in the Herefordshire parish of Linton, a few miles east of Ross-on-Wye. Once known as Broomes Ash, it grew up on the Roman road between Hereford and Mitcheldean, close to the site of the Romano-British town of Ariconium. Most of its newer homes have been built along the two main roads that pass through it.
Bromsash shares its parish council, church and village hall with Linton, a short distance away, and its roadside position makes it easy to reach Ross-on-Wye and the M50.
