Upleadon is a small village and parish about three miles east of Newent, extending southwards beside the River Leadon in Gloucestershire. Its Grade I listed Church of St Mary the Virgin is notable for a Tudor tower that is timber-framed from top to bottom with brick infill, a very rare design. The church also keeps a 12th-century Norman nave and doorway, and the village is recorded in the Domesday Book.
