Rudford is a small village about four miles south-east of Newent, in the Gloucestershire parish of Rudford and Highleadon. St Mary's Church, standing beside the River Leadon, is a very old building with fine Norman features. The Wysis Way footpath follows the line of the former Hereford to Gloucester canal and later railway, and a monument at Barbers Bridge remembers Welsh soldiers killed in the Civil War.

Rudford & Highleadon Village Hall on Buttermilk Lane serves both communities, and the riverside church and the Wysis Way make Rudford a pleasant stop for walkers exploring the Leadon valley.
